As Dhoni did his best but Dhoni could not convert it into the win and KXIP was the winner with just a slight margin of 4 runs. KXIP scored 197 Runs in 20 overs and CSK also made 193 runs in the response to KXIP.

Dhoni won the hearts

THE HERO: Man of the Match - The Gayle Storm - Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle was awarded the man of the match for his firecracker inning which gave a solid boost to the performance of KXIP. Gayle told in the post-match interview that he got a text this morning that he would be playing. He was very happy that he had got off to a winning start for this new franchise.
And of course, MSD is the hero as he won more hearts than Gayle.
THE CULPRIT: Jadeja in place of Bravo?
In the post-match interview, Dhoni was asked why Bravo was not sent on the place of Jadeja? Dhoni in the answer told that Fleming made the decision and even Jadeja need to be given opportunity, he has the capability of doing that.
Bravo has been known as the best finisher of CSK this season, Jadeja scored 19 runs in 13 balls and Bravo could play only one ball.
Had Bravo got chance to play more balls and the scenario of the match be different?
